The Engine Shed in Reading is now holding adult sessions immediately after our children/young people sessions. Sessions are for autistic adults, those with a learning disability and those without a diagnosis – you just need to enjoy trains! The club enables adults with an interest in trains to come together with their peers to observe, play, talk and enjoy their hobby in a welcoming, safe and relaxing environment – and where parents and carers as appropriate can relax and talk in a supportive atmosphere. We aim to create a community of friendship with the new group, with opportunities for days out and other enjoyable activities.
As with the other group, model railways and train sets for all abilities are set up and a range of train-related resources are available for participants to engage with.
We meet on the last Saturday of the month usually; please check back to our website or Facebook as days may occasionally change when they fall on holidays etc. There is no need to book and there is no waiting list. This group is for those 18 years and over.
